Kate Middleton “terribly worried”: this upcoming series that gives her cold sweats

In the middle of cancer treatment, Kate Middleton is resting out of sight but does not stop learning about the artistic projects that target the British royal family. Among them, a television series is said to be particularly worrying…

The Windsors thought they would finally be at peace, after the last season of The Crown on Netflix in December 2023. This was a poor gauge of the general public’s interest in the behind-the-scenes of British royal life. According to GB News, Kate Middleton is even “terribly worried about the intrigues developed” in an upcoming television series. Called Royal Spin and written by Omid Scobie, the unofficial spokesperson for Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, this fiction would tell the story of an American public relations consultant who gives up her political career in Washington to launch into communications at Buckingham Palace.

And if the Princess of Wales fears this series, whose release date is still unknown, it is in particular because it could tarnish the reputation of the family, already fragile since the revelations of Meghan and Harry on Netflix and in the autobiography of the youngest of Charles III. With The Crown already, the Crown has suffered from the staging of key passages and the controversies that have marked its history, over the last decades.

Kate “panicked” and William “furious” at the announcement of a new TV series
In the columns of Closer UK, a source reveals some clues concerning the content of Royal Spin and Kate’s fears. “The synopsis of the series reflects the story of Meghan and Harry while hiding behind a fictional drama. William of course assured Kate that the public would see clearly in this story, as always”, said the informant. “Since they found out that the show had been bought by Universal, they have been hit with a new wave of panic and dread,” she continued, explaining that despite the show’s fictional nature, “the possibility that some of the storylines are close to reality” is very real.

“William is worried that Kate is at her wit’s end. But he insists he won’t contact his brother to ask him about the show, for fear that it will be used as part of the storyline and paint him in an even more negative light. He is absolutely furious,” the source also revealed. The source also discusses Omid Scobie’s latest books, Finding Freedom and Endgame, which are aimed at Wales. “He claims that Prince Harry is considered a ‘threat to the Crown,’” the insider explains. In Endgame, released in the summer of 2023, Omid Scobie also assures that Kate Middleton “never liked Meghan Markle”, reporting the words of a source who declares that the perfect princess “spent more time talking about Meghan than talking to her”.
