These things always seem meaningless, but according to psychologists, your sleeping position at night could reveal a few things about your personality. Researchers interviewed 1,000 women and watched them sleep. Here are the five most common positions, and what they mean.
1 – PLANK POSITION
If you sleep as if you are lying on a wooden plank, it means that you are a quiet and reserved person with a high opinion of yourself and you can be very opinionated.
2 – “FREE FALL” POSITION
This is the position adopted by those who sleep on their stomach, with their head turned to one side or another and their hands under the pillow or next to it. Only 7% of people seem to sleep in this position.
They are big dreamers, they are sociable, intense people, sometimes even a little cheeky, but who in reality hide a very great sensitivity.
They are also and above all creative people, fervent lovers of freedom in all areas, and they cannot stand criticism.
3 – HUNGER SLEEPING POSITION
If you kiss your pillow while sleeping, it means that you trust people too much, which can be bad for your own good.
4 – FETAL POSITION
As we said previously, this is the most common posture, with 41% of the population. Women are twice as likely to adopt it as men!
A person sleeping in this position usually has the knees drawn toward the body, the back is lying on its side and slightly curved, and the arms may be crossed or close to the legs.
Many variations of this position exist. When the position is very accentuated, it can symbolize a desire to return to childhood since it is the position of the baby in the mother’s womb.
In general, people who sleep this way are sensitive people, very emotional and who tend to have more intense relationships. They may seem shy at first, but when you really get to know them you realize that they are loving people, full of tenderness, and who are afraid of being emotionally hurt.
